Gulab jamun cake 🍰

What are Gulab Jamuns?
Assuming you've never had them, customary Gulab Jamuns are essentially donut openings on break.

They get their unique shined bronze outside from a high milk solids content that caramelizes as it fries.

Indeed, similar to any sweet deserving at least some respect (or should that be sugar?), Gulab Jamuns are pan fried prior to being dunked in a shower of rose-scented syrup.

Ingredients
2 sticks unsalted butter, softened, plus 1 tablespoon, for greasing
1 ⅓ cups all purpose flour(165 g)
⅓ cup dried nonfat milk powder(35 g)
1 cup granulated sugar(220 g)
¾ teaspoon ground cardamom
½ teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 large eggs

GULAB JAMUN SYRUP
1 cup water(240 mL)
1 cup granulated sugar(220 g)
½ teaspoon saffron thread
8 cardamom pods, slightly crushed
1 cinnamon stick
1 teaspoon rose water
2 teaspoons fresh lime juice

FOR SERVING
1 ¾ cups powdered sugar(190 g)
1 tablespoon dried rose petal, optional
1 tablespoon pistachio, chopped

Preparation
Make the cardamom cake: Preheat the broiler to 325°F (163°C). Oil a 10-cup Bundt container generously with 1 tablespoon of margarine. In a medium bowl, whisk the flour and milk powder together until very much joined.
Add the margarine, sugar, and ground cardamom to a different enormous bowl and blend in with a hand blender for 5-7 minutes; the spread will turn pale and soft. Add the salt and vanilla and mix to join. Add 1 egg at an at once, between every option. Add the flour combination. Blend until the dry fixings are recently consolidated.
Spoon the player into the Bundt skillet and tap the container on the counter 3-5 times to eliminate air bubbles.
